The landscape of intercollegiate athletics is ever-changing, and Washington State Athletics needs to be at the forefront of change. We remain steady in our mission to provide a transformational student-athlete experience that develops champions inside and outside the athletic arena while serving and elevating Washington State University.

With the impending House settlement, the investment for additional scholarship support is critical for the success of Washington State Athletic programs so we can expand our roster limits and obtain high caliber student-athletes. Through the Student-Athlete Support Philanthropic Fund, you are able to assist in providing scholarship support for our student-athletes as they pursue a degree while fulfilling their dreams of competing at the collegiate level. 

The cost of student-athlete attendance in 2023-24 academic year was over $12 million with about two-thirds covered through donations from CAF members. With your help, we can continue to close the gap to provide an educational and athletic experience that is one of the best in college athletics.

In order to retain our exceptional student-athletes we must be able to provide additional resources to optimize our student-athlete experience. Sport excellence funds are allocated at the discretion of head coaches and can be used for additional scholarship support, facility upgrades and program enhancements, such as travel abroad experiences, team retreats, and sports performance coaching. 

Support the Cougar Athletic Fund and our student-athletes by investing in the Student-Athlete Support Philanthropic Fund and scholarships to obtain our future Cougs and support the Sport Excellence Fund to retain our current Cougs.
