Voiland College of Engineering & Architecture
Solar Decathlon

A multi-disciplinary team of students in WSU’s Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture (VCEA) has been selected as one of 16 university teams to compete in building the most innovative, energy-efficient home in the nation. The competition is called the Solar Decathlon, and VCEA's brightest students will compete against top universities in the United States and abroad. The competition will provide VCEA’s Solar Decathletes with a hands-on, multi-disciplinary experience and unique training opportunity that will better prepare them to tackle the world’s challenges when they graduate.

By fall 2017, VCEA's Solar Decathlon Team will need to design, build, and transport their entry across the country, where it will be showcased in front of a national audience.

To compete, we must raise more than $1 million in cash, materials, and services to support the students, provide them with the best state-of-the-art building materials, and help with their transportation needs.

With your help, we can win!
