General Scholarship Fund

As WSU’s financial aid office, we see a large number of students who need funding to complete their dream of earning a degree. Besides state and federal funding, we manage all centrally-awarded scholarships for the university. While many students may have strong academic backgrounds, not every student’s situation is a common one, and frequently special circumstances require additional assistance. The General Scholarship Fund for the university helps with those situations and allows WSU to reward students for good academic work or strong community service.

Just a few of the scholarships that this fund supports include:

·         National Merit Scholarships
·         First Scholars Program
·         Regents Scholars Program
·         Smart Start Scholars
·         Future Cougars Embracing Diversity

The General Scholarship Fund helps over 500 students each year focus on their college success instead of worrying about their finances. Please make a gift today during #CougsGive to general scholarships to help current and future Cougs fulfill their dreams.
