A National Leader in Innovation
WSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine is a national leader in innovative education. We enrich our students’ education through experiential, hands-on learning and train our faculty to use high-impact teaching practices.
Teaching Creativity Endowment (DCs & Teaching Academy)
The Teaching Academy was established to ensure the college teaches in ways that allow students to learn best. Medical and veterinary educational leaders come from around the world to provide training to our faculty. In the annual Diagnostic Challenges, students diagnose patients and work with volunteer clients in a simulated setting comparable to what they will experience one day in their own practice.
Clinical Simulation Center Endowment (Class of 1979 Gift)
Using a peer-based teaching approach, the center offers hands-on surgical training to veterinary students beginning their very first year. Students have the opportunity to use simulation from basic suturing to models that give an accurate feel of actual exam or surgical procedures.
You can help provide these valuable resources by supporting the college during #CougsGive!
