At the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine, our mission is to improve the health of animals and people around the world. Through veterinary student scholarships, innovative education, and exceptional medical care for more than 12,000 patients every year, we are creating a healthier world.
From research that could lead to a cure for Parkinson’s disease to understanding how bacteria cause food poisoning, our scientists are working to solve human health problems at home and around the world. And whether it is vaccinating dogs for rabies, a disease that kills more than 60,000 people globally each year, or understanding the emergence and spread of antibiotic resistance, or detecting animal diseases that can wipe out herds or spread to humans, our scientists are working to solve some of the greatest health challenges facing our world today.
We train the leaders of tomorrow. Together we can create a healthier world.
