WSU Vancouver

What makes WSU Vancouver special?

Small Campus, Big Opportunities: Despite its smaller size, WSU Vancouver offers a wide range of academic programs and resources. With a student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1, students receive personalized attention and support from faculty members.

Community Engagement: WSU Vancouver is deeply involved in the local community. The university partners with local businesses, organizations, and government agencies to provide students with internship and research opportunities. Additionally, students and faculty engage in community service projects, contributing to the betterment of the region.

Diversity and Inclusion: WSU Vancouver is committed to diversity and inclusion. We received the INSIGHT Into Diversity award in 2019 and 2023. This award recognizes U.S. colleges and universities that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Support of the WSU Vancouver campus community, especially first-generation college students and underrepresented students, is paramount. Thank you for your commitment to building an unforgettable, outstanding experience for all WSU Vancouver students. Below are our CougsGive priorities.

WSU Vancouver Loaner Laptop Fund The Loaner Laptop Program provides the necessary tools for the modern student to succeed. By offering access to laptops, the program ensures that all students, regardless of their financial situation, can fully engage in online learning, complete assignments, and participate in virtual classes. This initiative promotes equity and inclusivity, enabling every student to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to their education and future careers.

Working Parent Scholarship Supporting the Working Parent Scholarship at WSU Vancouver helps empower parents to pursue higher education, fostering a brighter future for their families and communities. By easing the financial burden of education, this scholarship enables parents to balance work, family, and academic responsibilities.

LGBTQ+ Empowerment Endowed Scholarship at Washington State University Vancouver This scholarship supports students who are active leaders in the LGBTQ+ community, participate in LGBTQ+ groups at the university, or have overcome challenges related to their identity while pursuing their educational goals.

WSU Vancouver Cougar Food Pantry The Cougar Food Pantry provides free, nonperishable items to students in need of food. In a recent study, over 38 percent of Washington students reported experiencing food insecurity in the last month. Food requests for the Cougar Food Pantry have doubled this year. Your gift will ensure there is always a resource for students facing food insecurity.
