It’s not often math tutors wear white lab coats, but that’s one of the reasons students love the WSU Mathematics Learning Center.
A strong foundation in math is key to student success, regardless of the major, during college and beyond. The Math Learning Center helps all undergraduate Cougars increase their understanding and mastery of real-world concepts and applications, from the basic algebra needed to build a fence, to accounting principles for entrepreneurs, to complex number theory for research scientists.
The Math Learning Center (MLC) offers free tutoring in an open and collaborative environment. Students work alongside peers in the same courses and can ask questions of each other or the tutors. The center is open six days a week at hours convenient for students (including during summer session) and employs nearly 40 upper-division and graduate peer tutors. And best of all, it's a very popular place, logging more than 70,000 student hours each year.
This vital program welcomes your support so we can continue to provide a transformational student experience for all WSU students.
