Just as in human medicine, in emergency veterinary situations, every second counts, and one mistake can be all the difference between life and death.
Whether it is a severe infection, a broken bone, or worse, animal owners have turned to the Emergency and Critical Care service at WSU’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital for their pets’ emergency care for decades.
WSU is one of the few emergency veterinarian options in the Inland Northwest. Just in 2023, 2,510 pets were treated at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital's Emergency and Critical Care department, which provides life-saving services and care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This CougsGive, and in celebration of the College of Veterinary Medicine’s 125th year, improve the odds for animals that need emergency care – support the Emergency and Critical Care service at WSU’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital and help WSU veterinarians continue to provide the most advanced care the profession has to offer.
