Studies have shown that student success is closely linked to the amount of time spent in libraries. Washington State University Libraries are consistently working to enhance the student experience by expanding our physical spaces. Most recently, we’ve undertaken a remodeling of a new “learning commons” study space for WSU students.
Once finished, the learning commons will be an advanced, welcoming study space with up-to-date technology access; private study rooms with floor-to-ceiling glass walls; movable, comfortable furniture; and whiteboards for brainstorming and problem solving. Spaces like these are very much in line with the WSU Drive to 25 initiative’s goal of providing a transformative educational experience for all undergraduate and graduate students.
This Giving Tuesday, please help us give Cougs an environment to thrive and succeed throughout our library system with a gift to the Library Excellence Fund.
We plan to create similar learning commons for Owen Engineering and Science Library and the Animal Health Library. Completing these renovations will take dedicated, sustained investment by our donors. Thank you for your support!

As an additional motivation, check out our matching gift challenge. A generous anonymous donor has agreed to match all gifts toward this project up to $25,000!
Giving Tuesday was a success, because of YOU! Thank you to all who participated!
