We are passionate about mathematics.

Washington State University Mathematics is one of only two mathematics PhD granting departments in Washington state. In this unique role, we are committed to teaching at all levels and to research excellence. 

Our faculty collaborate with researchers from numerous disciplines across the university. We also partner with other respected academic institutions and federal research laboratories.

Several of our undergraduate students who have worked on research projects at WSU have gone on to pursue graduate research and education at other nationally reputed universities.
