What if how you received health care was based on a team model versus one doctor determining your entire treatment plan?
Interprofessional, collaborative, and team-based education starts in the first year of the health professions programs. It includes classroom, laboratory, and simulation events and continues into the clinical years to prepare effective teams for collaborative practice. This means WSU is teaching future MD, pharmacy, nursing, speech language pathologists, and exercise and nutrition physiologists to work together to form comprehensive treatment plans. Better health outcomes start when all health professionals work together.
A gift to the WSU Health Sciences Interprofessional Education Fund assists with curriculum development and interprofessional education student activities. Join us in creating future care teams that will deliver better, faster healthcare!
