Rabies Free Africa
Together We Can Eliminate Rabies

Despite being one of the oldest and most deadly known zoonotic diseases, rabies is entirely preventable. Yet today it remains an acute public health problem around the world, particularly in Africa and Asia.

As part of the Zero by 30 initiative, Rabies Free Africa is collaborating with international partners to eliminate rabies as a cause of human suffering and death. Game-changing vaccine research paired with community-based programs spearheads the WSU Paul G. Allen School for Global Health development and deployment of strategies to eliminate this disease.

The Allen School works to provide innovative solutions to global infectious disease challenges at the human-animal-environment interface. This work advances science, people, and policy in the discovery of groundbreaking approaches to disease intervention and delivery of preventive health care for animals and humans around the world.
