The David G. Pollart Center for Arts and Humanities serves as both the catalyst for innovative scholarship and creative activity, and as a public “front door” to the arts and humanities at WSU.
Conscious of the University’s land-grant mission, the center operates as an incubator for new educational programs and scholarly/creative initiatives that cross traditional academic boundaries to address some of the most challenging questions we have about our shared past, present, and future. By supporting programming in the arts, music, and humanities, the center also offers opportunities for the wider public to encounter new ideas and sustain their deepest values. In doing so, the center hopes to build a shared community of curiosity—one that encourages the questioning, conversation, and sense of wonder vital to a flourishing society.
