Cable 8 Productions provides students with real broadcast and on-camera experience that they proudly create themselves. We are one of the largest student organizations on campus, and we are celebrating our 40th anniversary this year! From the show pitch to the publishing, students get to utilize modern equipment (and some more vintage tools that we’re looking to renovate) to create their visions. Students learn leadership, teamwork, collaboration, and crucial skills for the world of broadcasting and entertainment. Our goal is to make sure our students get to create and stay competitive in a field that is very fast paced. We strive to make sure that if a student has the idea and the work ethic, they can create the best and get the jobs of their dreams.
As part of our 40th year anniversary, we are working to raise $40,000 to ensure our students can stay ahead of the game for years to come.
Your donations to Cable 8 Productions directly supports:
- Equipment purchases (cameras, microphones, editing software, etc.)
- Renovations and upgrades to our studio
- Additions to our student spaces for them to have a home away from home
