Libraries
Identify and Preserve Cougar History

At the heart of campus, the WSU Libraries support and serve every college and department, as well as their students, staff, and faculty. We are also the new home of the WSU Press, publishing the stories that bring the history of our region to life. The WSU Libraries and Press are at the very center of innovation and exploration at WSU.

We have books, journals, media, maps, microforms, government publications, e-books, e-journals, unique digital collections, manuscripts, archives, special collections, classrooms, study spaces, makerspaces, and experienced librarians who enrich the student educational experience. The Libraries are the biggest student employer on campus. Our students work to digitize library collections, making historic photos and documents available to the public on the WSU Libraries’ website.

Thanks to our generous supporters, there are many exciting updates happening in our Libraries and you can read articles about them and other Library news in our Browse Newsletter.

The WSU Libraries offer students and faculty a research environment with modern facilities and access to digital resources. Expert librarians provide personalized assistance and instructional sessions to enhance students’ information literacy skills. Interlibrary loan services expand access to resources, while the Dimensions Lab provides hands-on experience with the emerging technology around digital music production. The WSU Libraries provide a space for authors, musicians, and scientists to gather and share their work.
