One decade of progress. A new generation of health leaders. A future shaped by Cougs like you.

As we celebrate 10 years of the WSU College of Medicine, we’re reminded of how far we’ve come and how much more we can achieve together. A decade ago, a nearly century-old barrier to creating new medical schools in Washington was lifted, opening the door to a new era of health care access for our state. Since then, Cougs have helped build a college dedicated to educating physicians, researchers, and health professionals who are deeply committed to Washington’s communities.

This #CougsGive 2026, together we can help write the next chapter of that story. Faculty and staff across the College of Medicine are choosing to participate in this shared mission through scholarship and program support. Participation, at any level, helps strengthen the future of health care in Washington.

Together, our support strengthens pathways for students pursuing careers in Medicine, Speech and Hearing Sciences, and Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. It fuels innovative teaching and research that address Washington’s most urgent health needs. And it expands opportunities for students to learn, serve, and ultimately return to the communities they call home.

The impact extends far beyond campus. When we come together to support scholarships and academic programs, we empower future clinicians who will care for families across Washington for decades to come. One learner becomes one provider who will touch thousands of lives.

Together, we can continue advancing Dr. Floyd’s vision: building healthier communities, increasing access to care, and preparing the next generation of health leaders rooted in Washington.
