Aquatics Club
A New Frontier of Animal Health

As WSU CVM Aquatics Club, we strive to bring novel, hands-on educational experiences in fisheries, marine science, and aquatic wildlife to veterinary students. Through wet labs, field trips, guest speakers, and networking opportunities with professionals in the field, we are committed to expanding students' interest in and knowledge of aquatic medicine. This little-known field is a relatively new frontier in animal health, and Aquatics Club hopes to train up the next generation of aquatic vets.

In the 2025—26 school year, we provided amazing opportunities for students including multiple aquatic necropsy labs, upwards of ten guest lectures, and field trips to the Seattle Aquarium, Point Defiance Zoo, and the San Juan Islands. This year, we hope to continue our trajectory of getting vet students real-world experience by going back to the west side; we are hoping to repeat our trip to visit the Seattle Aquarium and the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, but we need your help. Transportation from Pullman to Seattle, accommodations for participating students, and fees for tours and behind-the-scenes experiences are all expenses that your donation to #CougsGive can help support.

Your donation helps create meaningful experiences for future veterinarians in fisheries, zoos, aquariums, wildlife organizations, and more!
