Winter Sports Club
New Skills and New Friends

The WSU-TC Winter Sports Club proudly represents the Cougs in their natural habitat! Winter Sports have a tendency to be pricier than most other sports. Most students decide to pass up on ever trying the sport because of this reason! The Winter Sports Club aims to reduce this barrier to entry by agreeing to pay for the cost of rentals, lessons, and lift access for a given outing.

Why Your Support Matters:

  • Promotes social and emotional growth. This ski trip gives students a meaningful opportunity to build confidence, reduce stress, and strengthen their emotional well-being in a positive outdoor environment.
  • Encourages connection beyond the classroom. By bringing students together in a shared experience, the trip helps form lasting friendships and fosters collaboration between students from different academic departments.
  • Builds new skills and lifelong interests. Participants will learn winter sports, develop resilience, and gain experiences that support personal development and healthy, active lifestyles.
  • Creates pride in representing WSU-TC. Students will engage with peers while representing Washington State University Tri-Cities at regional ski resorts, strengthening school spirit and community presence.
  • Expands access to the entire campus community

Donations make it possible to invite more students to participate, ensuring the experience is inclusive and available to those who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
