Conner Museum
Charles R. Conner Museum of Natural History

The Charles R. Conner Museum of Natural History stewards the largest collection of bird and mammal taxidermy mounts in the Pacific Northwest.

Conner Museum traces its beginnings to 1894. Charles R. Conner, then president of the Board of Regents, persuaded the state of Washington to donate its exhibits from the Chicago World’s Fair to the fledgling Washington Agricultural College.

Today, the museum’s galleries are the largest public natural history museum between Seattle and Missoula, with over 15,000 visitors each year. The scientific collection is used by researchers worldwide and includes nearly 70,000 specimens of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and fish.
