Athletic Training
A bachelors and masters degree earned at the same time!

A unique 5-year program that results in a bachelors and masters degree, including three years of clinical experience. Our program sets itself apart in many other ways as well.

We have:

  • Accreditation! We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education.
  • A staff of 18 certified athletic trainers with a variety of specializations and expertise
  • Knowledgeable academic faculty who love to teach
  • Opportunities to work with Division-I athletes
  • The athletic training facilities of a Division-I Pac-12 athletic institution
  • Opportunities for research development and presentation
  • Leadership opportunities in the student club and district/national organizations
  • Travel to conventions
  • Clinical partnerships with local physical therapy clinics, high schools, and general medical clinics
  • Clinical partnership with Lewis Clark State College – annual host of the NAIA World Series
  • Networking with more than 30 medical professionals in the area
  • Personal mentoring
  • Standardized Patient Simulation (a new simulation each semester you are in the program!)
  • Collaboration with the WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine

We love to hear from Faculty and Staff about what they love about WSU! Thanks to Mike Connell '85, VP of Advancement and CEO of the WSU Foundation, five WSU faculty or staff donors will have a $100 bonus applied to their gift if they share their story.
