Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) is an interdisciplinary degree program that places gender and sexuality at the center of intersectional analysis. This dynamic curriculum (including a major, two minors, and a graduate certificate) prepares students for careers that make an impact and create positive change in the world, and for meaningful, lifelong learning and community engagement.
Since our program was redesigned and renamed six years ago, much has happened, including the launch of a WGSS Graduate Certificate in fall 2024. More than 35 WGSS affiliate faculty from across the WSU system teach students how to analyze structural conditions intersectionally and craft solutions to challenges, while keeping gender, sexual, and racial justice in clear view.
