Since its launch in 2019, The Next Carson Coug, our blueprint for transforming the way we educate business students, made an immediate and positive difference in the lives of Carson College of Business students and WSU.

One of our key objectives is to engage and immerse our students, including our first-generation students, in activities that challenge, educate, and guide them in creating their own pathways to success through experiential learning.

In the first two years since launch, students participated in 1,927 unique educational and career readiness activities. This past fall, our students participated in another 612 activities.

We are proud to announce that the average GPA for our first-generation students is 3.30—a result of their experience in the Carson EDGE (Expanding Diverse Group Experiences) program.

Carson College is seeing 100% on-time graduation for participants in our EDGE program.
