Dean’s Excellence Fund
Contributions to the Dean’s Excellence Fund provides the dean with the flexibility to respond to emerging needs and trends while fulfilling the college’s highest priorities. This fund supports our student services, emergency and start-up research funding, professional development, guest speakers and travel.
Your gift today to the Murrow College Dean’s Excellence Fund helps maintain the professional excellence we are known for and ensures the College able can respond to current challenges and take advantage of new opportunities.
Scholarship Excellence Fund
Financial barriers should never be the reason a student doesn’t complete their degree plan.
Your contribution to the Scholarship Excellence Fund demonstrates how much you believe in Murrow students and their dreams. Gifts of all size to this fund are combined into impactful awards to benefit high-performing students with significant financial need. The Scholarship Excellence Fund supports students studying journalism, media production, science and technology communication, advertising, public relations, as well as risk and crisis communication.

Digital Excellence Fund
Your gift to the Digital Excellence Fund ensures Murrow students have access to leading-edge technology. This endowed fund supports media lab upgrades, equipment for student rental, and our new laptop loan program and technology awards.
The move to remote learning during the height of the pandemic, and more recently, the newly established requirement for all Murrow students to have a laptop, highlighted the fact that not all students have access to a computer powerful enough to run necessary programs to complete their coursework. In response, Murrow College established a laptop loaner program which provides students in need with a laptop from the College for the semester. We also recognize the cost of software can be a barrier for some students and, in response, established technology awards for students in need to pay for programs such as the Adobe Creative Cloud.

Northwest Public Broadcasting TV Fund
Northwest Public Broadcasting (NWPB) is a community service of the Murrow College and one way the college supports WSU’s land grant mission. Your gift to support NWPB’s television programming makes a difference and ensures the communities of eastern Washington continue to have access to free, local, regional and national television programs that engage, enlighten and entertain.

Northwest Public Broadcasting (NWPB) is a community service of the Murrow College and one way the college supports WSU’s land grant mission. Your gift to NWPB’s public radio programming makes a difference and ensures communities throughout Washington state and parts of Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia continue to have access to free local, regional and national programs that engage, enlighten and entertain.
